Weigela

Northern growers have appreciated the hardiness of 'Fine Wine', but wished it flowered as well as other varieities of Weigela. This plant is an improved version of 'Fine Wine'.  It maintains the superior hardiness but comes with darker foliage and better flowering making it a great choice for a foundation planting or mixed border.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Weigela are fast growing, easy care shrubs that are adaptable to a range of soil conditions. They are happiest in average well drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate very light shade. They are  also somewhat tolerant of clay soil. They should be pruned after flowering to shape them.
