Lilac 'Sensation' has unique purple buds that open to deep magenta purple flowers with distinct white picotee edges. The blooms are highly fragrant and appear in great masses in late spring when they will fill the air with their sweet scent. Lilacs are ideal for pollinator-friendly gardens. Large lilac shrubs like 'Sunsation' can also be pruned into small trees.

Growing and Maintenance Tips
Lilacs are generally very easy care shrubs. Plant them in full sun in moist, well drained soil. Lilacs do not like wet sites especially in the winter. Pruning should be done after spring bloom. Pruning will keep the shrub dense and well shaped and increase the amount of flowers.
Spring Opening and Garden Art Show
The first day of the 2024 garden season is Saturday, April 27th. This year we will continue with our regular hours of Wednesday to Sunday. Please note that during our Bloomfest Garden Art Show from July 20 to July 28 we are open every day.
