Lilac

'Bloomerang Purpink' is a colour that sometimes looks pink and sometimes more purple, hence the name. It is considered the strongest rebloomer in the Bloomerang series so you can expect reliable bloom throughout the summer. It is a smaller variety so you can enjoy these fragrant blooms in smaller landscape situations.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Lilacs are generally very easy care shrubs. Plant them in full sun in moist, well drained soil. Lilacs do not like wet sites especially in the winter. Prune immediately after to bloom to correct crossed branches or remove any broken limbs. Lilacs bloom on last year's wood. If you prune too early or too late, you'll lose the flowers for next spring. If you prune right after flowering and before seeds are formed it will produce abundant flowers the next year. Reblooming lilacs do not have to be pruned to remove spent flowers but it makes them look tidier and they will bloom more profusely if you do.
