Ninebark

'Summer Wine Black' has the darkest, most dramatic foliage yet. With its rich, saturated colour and versatile habit, it's the ideal choice for accentuating your home's exterior. Spring brings white flower clusters which contrast with the nearly-black foliage. Upright stems and small foliage gives a fine textural effect.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

All Ninebarks are easy care shrubs, thriving in most soils in full sun to light shade. The colour of the foliage will be best in full sun. Because it blooms on old wood, when it is a young plant prune the tips after flowering to shape it. Once it is established prune one quarter of the branches to the ground in late winter to rejuvenate it.
