Panicle Hydrangea

Hydrangea 'Quick Fire' is the most popular of the hydrangeas that we carry. It is also the earliest to bloom starting to flower several weeks before other paniculata types. The white blooms appear in early summer and deepen into pink by late July and then to rosy red by fall. It is an easy care shrub, adaptable to a wide range of garden conditions. We use it in the perennial border where it compliments July flowering Daylilies. It also works in a foundation planting, as a hedge or at the back of a shrub border. This is one of the shrubs we would never be without.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Hydrangea 'Quick Fire' is very easy to grow, adapting to a broad range of soil conditions. Full sun to light shade in well drained, organically rich soil with even moisture will produce the best growth. However it thrives in our windswept display garden which only gets watered when absolutely necessary. Pruning should be done in early spring to shape the shrub and keep it the size you want.
