Foamflower

Tiarella ‘Cutting Edge’ is a distinctive foamflower grown as much for its dramatic foliage as for its airy spring blooms. Deeply cut, maple-like leaves display bold dark centres that create strong contrast throughout the growing season, forming a dense, low mound ideal for woodland gardens and shaded borders. In spring, delicate spires of soft white flowers rise above the foliage, adding light texture and early-season interest.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Foamflower thrives in part shade to full shade in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Incorporate organic matter to improve soil structure and moisture retention. Plants prefer consistent moisture but should not sit in wet winter soil. Excellent for woodland plantings, under trees, and shaded borders. Remove spent flower stems after bloom and tidy foliage in early spring. Divide clumps every few years to maintain vigour.
