Creeping Thyme

Elfin creeping thyme plant is a very small perennial with tiny glossy, green aromatic leaves, little purple or pink blossoms, and a dense mounding habit. In our area it will be evergreen year round.  Native to Europe, 'Elfin' Thyme is not only drought and heat tolerant, but deer and rabbit resistant and pollinatore friendly, making it a lovely option for a natural garden. It will withstand some foot traffic so it is an excellent choice for use between paving stones or as a substitute for grass.

Plant 'Elfin' Thyme is full sun and well drained soil. It does not like wet feet and will rot in areas that are constantly moist or wet in the winter. Remove all debris covering it in the spring. Fallen leaves left on it will smother it.
