Growing and Maintenance Tips

Phlox subulata is an easy groundcover for full sun. Gritty slightly alkaline soil is preferred but most importance is good drainage. It will rot easily in areas that are too wet especially in the winter. Planting it on a slope or in a raised bed is helpful. Shear the plant back after flowering to keep it from thinning out in the center.
