'Lavender Taffeta' has dark lavender purple flowers that cover the shiny, dark green foliage.This monarda is a member of the UPSCALE® collection from Proven Winners. They have outstanding  flowering performance with blooms that covers the top half of the plant. This series is excellent for landscape plantings and filling space in the middle of the border. Well branched stems support a second flush of flowers that extends the length of bloom. Members of this collection all exhibit good mildew resistance.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Monarda enjoys rich moist soil, however it is adaptable to average soil. Sun is best but light shade is tolerated. Dead head spent flowers to prolong bloom. This cultivar has good mildew resistance but ensure that air circulation is good and the soil does not dry out. Regular division is necessary to keep the plants healthy.
