Foamy Bells

Heucherella 'Sweet Tea' is a uniquely coloured selection. The spring foliage is apricot orange with a burgundy center blotch. This darkens to coppery orange, russet, and cinnamon tones in the summer. Small white flowers appear in the spring. It grows quickly to form a full robust clump.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Heucherellas are a hybrid cross of a Heuchera and Tiarella. Like their parents they prefer rich, well drained soil of neutral pH. Amend the soil with organic material like compost but do not add peat moss which they dislike. In our area Heucherellas grow best in morning sun, which brings out their lovely colours. We have not had success with them in a lot of shade. Their foliage is evergreen and should not be trimmed in the fall. In the spring when new growth starts to emerge from the crown trim away old, damaged leaves.
