Lenten Rose

Our customers love the deep coloured varieties of Hellebores and this double flowered form is really beautiful. 'True Love' blooms in shades of rich wine, outlined with darker margins and a glowing golden center. This Hellebore is part of the Wedding Party™ series developed by Hybridizer, Hans Hansen. This series showcases double-flowered selections of beautiful, large blooms averaging 7.5 cms across. Hellebores are one of the first flowering perennials of spring and a favourite of bees. They are easy to grow and are very low maintenance.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Despite their reputation of being hard to grow, Hellebores are not fussy plants. Give them rich, moist organic soil and shade from hot afternoon sun during the summer. They can even tolerate short periods of drought. Hellebores are evergreen so, after the plants are actively growing, trim back any foliage that has been damaged in the winter. Hellebores are poisonous so do not consume any part of the plant.
