Lenten Rose

Hellebore' Anna’s Red' has deep burgundy outfacing blooms on robust, deep-red stems. The marbled leaves emerge bronze-green with bright pink veins, maturing to cream variegation.  Named in honour of plantswoman Anna Pavord, this variety offers a striking contrast between its rich flowers and variegated foliage.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Hellebores have a reputation for being tricky, but they’re actually quite easy to grow.  Give them rich, moist, organic soil and protection from hot afternoon sun in the summer, and they’ll thrive. They’re even able to tolerate short periods of drought once established. Because hellebores are evergreen, it’s a good idea to trim back any winter-damaged foliage in early spring once new growth begins.
Important: Hellebores are toxic — do not consume any part of the plant.
