Eupatorium 'Euphoria 'Ruby ' is a new selection of the wonderful Joy Pye Weed. It is  similar to its giant cousin but has a considerably longer bloom time.  Its large ruby red blossoms appear much earlier in the summer than typical Joe-Pye Weed varieties and will have a bloom time extending well into late summer and fall. It is also much shorter and more compact making it better suited for smaller gardens and perennial borders.  It is a favourite of pollinators, especially butterflies and deer resistant. Its attractive seeds heads offer winter interest.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Eupatorium is easy to grow in full sun to part shade in rich, well drained soil.  It can be cut down in the fall or left to provide winter interest with its big dried flower heads.  All parts of Eupatorium are poisonous if eaten.
