Growing and Maintenance Tips

Coneflowers perform best in full sun and well-drained soil but adapt well to average garden conditions. They will not tolerate winter wet. Once established they are drought tolerant and require little maintenance. Removing spent blooms can prolong the flowering season, while leaving some seed heads in fall provides interest and food for birds.
