Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Angel Hair' has very fine, textured threadbranch foliage. It adds a light airy element to the garden. Although it has a maximum size of 1.8 m x 1.8 m (6 x 6 ft),  this is for a mature plant left untrimmed.  This variety can be trimmed to achieve a smaller size and shape.  It grows 7-15 cm (3-6 in) per year.  It does best in an area that is protected from strong winds.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

'Angel Hair' is best planted in a moist, well-drained soil, in full sun.  Use as a specimen or plant in groupings.  It is easy to shape with regular clipping.
