Summer Phlox

Phlox 'Bambini Lucky Lila'c is a compact variety with a height and width of 25 cms and flowers that show a mix of light and dark violet-purple with a dark pink eye. It is well branched with an abundance of fragrant flowers over a long period of time beginning in mid summer.  It tolerates heat and humidity and is more mildew-resistant than other Phlox varieties.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Phlox needs rich, well drained soil that does not dry out to look its best. It is a heavy feeder so a fall mulch with compost is beneficial to keep up the organic level in the soil. The varieties we sell have mildew resistant but do not overcrowd this plant. It needs good air circulation.
