About This Hosta

Hosta 'Loyalist' is a reverse variegation sport of H. 'Patriot'. The leaves emerge creamy yellow in the spring with striking dark green margins. By mid-summer the leaf center is pure white with dark green margins. There is a lighter green streak where the leaf center and margin overlap. The combination produces a striking contrast that really stands out in the garden. Like most white centered hostas it is a slow grower but does have very thick leaves that give it good resistance to slugs. Pale lavender flowers appear mid summer.
