'Rouge Cardinal' is an impressive large-flowered variety (10-15 cm bloom) with glowing crimson-red flowers with blunt tipped, recurving sepals and contrasting cream-colored anthers. It is a heavy bloomer beginning in mid summer with repeat blooming into the fall. This vareity is ideal to grow over a trellis or gazebo.

Growing and Maintenance Tips
This Clematis belongs to pruning group 3. It should be pruned as it starts to sprout in the spring. Simply cut back the stems to a pair of strong buds about 30 cm above ground level as growth begins in early spring.
