Clematis 'Jolly Good' is a hybrid of the well known 'Jackmanii'. It is a prolific bloomer with light lavender flowers with undertones of magenta. The creamy white stamens add contrast creating a beautiful eye. 'Jolly Good' has a compact habit that is good for climbing fences, trellises or arbors. 'Jolly Good' blooms on new growth so it can be trimmed back in the early spring. It will produce a strong flush of bloom and then reblooms periodically on new growth produced during the growing season. This is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® plant.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

For success with clematis dig a large hole and amend it with compost. Bury the new plant 5 cms below the depth it is growing in the pot. Water regularly because clematis do not appreciate dry conditions. A mulch will keep the roots cool and help to retain moisture. Clematis 'Jolly Good' belongs to Pruning Group III. It flowers on new wood. Proven Winners recommends that you prune it back in the spring to 80 cms.
