Growing and Maintenance Tips

Weigela dapts to any well-drained site with a minimum of 4 hours of sun.
It blooms on old wood so prune as needed after flowering. Remove oldest stems every 3-5 years to encourage vigourous juvenile growth. It is late to leaf out in the spring. It may require a bit of pruning to clean up winter damage but wait until new growth appears to do so.
