Northern Witherod Viburnum

'Lil' Ditty' is an outstanding dwarf Viburnum that is perfect for smaller spaces. This native plant features puffs of fragrant, creamy white flowers in late spring.  After flowering, providing it is planted in groups, masses of green berries are produced that will gradually change to red and, by late fall, to black. Birds will feast on the berries. It is an adaptable and easy to grow small shrub for foundation plantings or massed as a groundcover.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

'Lil Ditty' is easily grown in average, medium to wet soils in full sun to part shade. It prefers moist loams, but tolerates a wide range of soils including boggy ones. For best cross-pollination and subsequent fruit display, plant shrubs in groups rather than as single specimens. Prune as needed in late fall or early spring.
