Panicle Hydrangea

In the early spring ‘Magical Flame’ Hydrangea covers itself with striking dark green foliage. As summer weather arrives, it will blossom with creamy white panicles that contrast beautifully with the dark foliage. These flower clusters age first into light pink before changing into their final pink red colour. This is a compact hydrangea easily maintained at just over a metre.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Provide average, well drained soil and plenty of moisture in full sun to partial shade.Hyrangeas can be pruned in late fall or early spring because they bloom on new wood. The spent flowers can be pruned off after blooming or left until the spring for winter interest.  Like most shrubs, Hydrangeas appreciate having a layer of mulch around their roots starting an inch away from the base. Not only will it keep the root system protected, but it'll conserve water and keep the garden looking neat and tidy!
