Panicle Hydrangea

Hydrangea 'Limelight' is a multiple award-winning variety with distinctive lime-green blooms. 'Limelight' is one of our favourites and has become a garden classic across North America. The large green blooms produced in mid-summer gradually transform to pink, red, and burgundy in autumn. The blooms are well distributed and held up on very strong stems. This hydrangea is a 8  gallon standard form. It can take the place of a small tree in the landscape.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Hydrangea 'Limelight' is an easy, low maintenance shrub. Provide average well drained soil and plenty of moisture in full sun to partial shade. It is not as water dependent as some varieties of hydrangea, and once established, will tolerate drought better. Prune Limelight'  in late fall or early spring because it blooms on new wood. The spent flowers can be pruned off after blooming or left until the spring for winter interest. They also dry well for use in bouquets.
