Panicle Hydrangea

Hydrangea ‘Berry White®’ is a hardy panicle hydrangea prized for its dramatic colour transformation through the season. Large cone-shaped blooms open creamy white in early summer, gradually turning soft pink and deepening to rich raspberry-red as fall approaches. The strong, upright stems hold the heavy flower clusters well above the foliage, creating a striking display in shrub borders, foundation plantings, and mixed landscapes.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Grow in full sun to part shade in average, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Panicle hydrangeas are extremely adaptable and tolerate clay soils and cold climates well. ‘Berry White®’ blooms on new wood, so flowering remains reliable even after cold winters or pruning. Prune in late winter or early spring to shape the plant and encourage vigorous flowering. Provide consistent moisture during establishment and hot weather.
