Spike Speedwell

Veronica ' First Love is a compact Speedwell selection, ideal for near the border edge, in containers and the rock garden. It forms a low mound of attractive deep green foliage, bearing numerous spikes of glowing fluorescent-pink flowers. Blooming begins in early summer and continues for weeks. Prune off spent blooms to encourage more buds to form. It is an easy and colourful compact perennial that is attractive to butterflies.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Grow Veronica in average soil that has been amended with organic material. It flowers best in full sun. Deadheading will promote more bloom. When all the flowers are done cut it back to the basal rosette to maintain an attractive appearance.
