'Viette's Little Suzy' is a compact, upright, clump-forming, free-blooming coneflower which typically grows only 30-40 cms tall. The daisy-like flowers have yellow rays and dark brownish-purple center disks. It is a prolific bloomer over a long mid-summer-to-fall bloom period. It is a good cut flower. It is an excelllent edger because of its compact size.
'Little Suzy' is easy to grow in average, well-drained soil in full sun. The addition of compost will be beneficial. The best bloom occurs in full sun, although plants will tolerate some light shade. Consistent moisture throughout the growing season is important but, once established, there is some tolerance for drought. Deadhead the spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. Plants will spread slowly in the garden by rhizomes.
