Variegated Solomon's Seal

The arching stems of Polygonatum variegatum have green leaves with fine white edges. The foliage turns gold in the fall. The unbranched stems support dangling white flowers. This plant is a perfect companion to ferns and hostas. It was the Perennial Plant of the year 2013

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Grow Solomon's Seal in rich moist soil in partial to filtered shade. It is drought tolerant but this will slow the growth of the colony. It spreads by rhizomes which are easy to lift and divide in the spring or late summer. It is really trouble free once established.
