Leucanthemum 'Sweet Daisy Birdie' photo All American Selections

Shasta Daisy

'Sweet Daisy Birdie',  from the Sweet Daisy series has umbrella-shaped, white flowers and bright yellow button eye. Good strong stems support the blooms well. This is the first Leucanthemum to be chosen as an All American Selection due to its terrific performance in garden trials. Shasta Daisy is a well-behaved garden hybrid, and should not be confused with the weedy Ox-eye Daisy

Growing and Maintenance Tips

All Leucanthemums grow best in full sun and well drained soil. It is critical to make sure they have adequate drainage in the winter so planting in raised beds will improve survival rates. Regular division is essential to maintain the vigour of all members of the Daisy family. This can be done in the spring or the fall. Regular deadheading will keep the plant neater looking and will extend blooom time.
