Lamium is one of the best choices for a tough yet showy perennial groundcover. This pretty selection forms a spreading patch of small silver leaves with a narrow green edge. Clusters of purplish-pink flowers appear in spring, then continue off and on until fall. Once established, Lamiums are fairly tolerant of dry shade.

Growing and Maintenance Tips
Lamium is an excellent plant to use in shady sites. It will be most attractive in rich, moist soil but is a tough plant, surviving in drier areas including under trees once established. Trim back in late winter. Stems will root into the ground where they touch.
