Iris Contrast in Styles

Iris 'Contrast in Styles' has large flowers with rich wine purple standards and falls and lighter blue-purple styles. The semi-flaring falls display prominent white and yellow signals with purple veining. The contrast is eye-catching. Typical of Siberian Irises, this selection also has narrow, green, disease resistant foliage that remains attractive all season. It is especially lovely when planted en masse around water features.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Siberian Iris are the most trouble free of the Iris species. Grow them in full sun in rich soil that is moderately acidic. Working some peat moss in the soil will help to make the soil more acid and moisture retentive. They will take a couple of years to establish and then can be left until flowering is not as profuse. Divide in August when necessary.
