Lenten Rose

Helleborus 'Rosemary' is a new introduction from the hybridizer that brought you the popular Ivory Prince. The bright and cheerful rose pink flowers face outward rather than downward to really display the fresh colour. Mature flowers are a darker pink color. Lighter pink veining and darker pink speckling give the surface of the petal some character. As a hybrid between H. niger and H. hybridus, Rosemary displays incredible vigor and flower performance.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Despite their reputation of being hard to grow, Hellebores are not fussy plants. Give them rich, moist organic soil and shade from hot afternoon sun during the summer. They can even tolerate short periods of drought. Hellebores are evergreen so after the plants are actively growing trim back any foliage that has been damaged in the winter. Hellebores are poisonous so do not consume any part of the plant.
