This Hellebore has it all: unique marbled spring foliage and large bright pink flowers. The foliage emerges in the spring bronzy green with electric pink veining. As the season progresses the veining drains down into the petioles leaving emerald green veining on the leaves. In the spring purple buds open to mauve pink flowers with chartreuse centers. This is a wonderful new introduction!
Despite their reputation of being hard to grow, Hellebores are not fussy plants. Give them rich, moist organic soil and shade from hot afternoon sun during the summer. They can even tolerate short periods of drought. Hellebores are evergreen so after the plants are actively growing trim back any foliage that has been damaged in the winter. Hellebores are poisonous so do not consume any part of the plant.
