Helleborus ‘Maid of Honor’ is a standout from the Wedding Party® series, featuring fully double blooms in soft to medium pink tones, often with gentle variation and occasional deeper veining. The flowers are large and more outward-facing than older hellebore types, making them highly visible in the garden. Evergreen, leathery foliage forms a neat, long-lived clump that provides structure year-round.
Hellebores have a reputation for being tricky, but they’re actually quite easy to grow. Give them rich, moist, organic soil and protection from hot afternoon sun in the summer, and they’ll thrive. They’re even able to tolerate short periods of drought once established. Because hellebores are evergreen, it’s a good idea to trim back any winter-damaged foliage in early spring once new growth begins. Avoid planting in areas that are wet in the winter.
