Cranesbill Geranium

Geranium ‘Intense’ is a compact, exceptionally floriferous hardy geranium prized for its vivid magenta-pink blooms and refined, mounding habit. Large, richly coloured flowers nearly cover the plant in early summer, creating a bold carpet of colour at the front of the border. Finely divided green foliage forms a tidy mound that remains attractive through the season and may take on warm tones in autumn. Its dense habit makes it ideal for edging, rock gardens, and mass plantings.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

‘Intense’ thrives in full sun to part sun in well-drained soil. It adapts well to average garden conditions and tolerates dry periods once established, but performs best in moderately fertile soil with good drainage. Avoid overly wet sites, especially in winter. Light shearing after the first flush of bloom refreshes the foliage and may encourage additional flowering. Divide every few years if clumps become crowded.
