Cranesbill Geranium

Prized for its vigorous groundcovering capabilities, Geranium 'Biokovo' will look good all season with little maintenance. In late spring, white flowers with pink sepals begin to appear and continue to bloom sporadically all summer long. The fragrant, glossy green leaves take on reddish tints in fall. American Perennial Plant Association Perennial of the Year 2015. Hardy geraniums are wonderful filler plants in garden design. They blend nicely with most other perennials and offer continuous colour throughout the summer months.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Geranium 'Biokovo' is very hardy and virtually maintenance free.  It is evergreen so it is important to remove fallen leaves from the foliage in the fall. If the foliage looks a little tattered a quick trim will freshen it up.  'Biokovo' is adapatable to a variety of growing conditions.  Though it prefers moist, well-drained soil, it will also tolerate periods of drought once established.  It will grow in full sun or part shade. In too much shade, however, its habit will be less compact and fewer flowers will be produced.
