Dictamnus albus purpureus is an old fashioned perennial for the mixed border. The light pink, six petalled flowers appear in June on sturdy stems. The foliage is glossy and aromatic and looks great all season. Our plants are three years old now and will make beautiful specimens in the garden in two more years.

Growing and Maintenance Tips
Dictamnus is an easy care low maintenance perennial once established, but it takes patience to get it going. Plant it in rich, moist soil in a spot where it can be left undisturbed. It resents being moved except when it is very young. The sap can irritate your skin so wear gloves when working with this plant. The star shaped seed heads are very attractive and should be left on the plant to mature in the hope of self seeding.
