Siberian Bugloss

A number of excellent new forms of Brunnera have been introduced in recent years, and 'Emerald Mist' is no exception. This new sport of 'Jack Frost' has more silver barring with the bars connecting to form a silver collar around the perimeter of the leaf. In addition, there is a very light dusting of silver over the entire leaf surface. This variety produces tiny, baby blue, forget-me-not type flowers and has an attractive mounding habit.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Brunnera is an easy care undemanding perennial that thrives in rich well drained garden soil in partial shade. It is not a fan of hot dry conditions but will take morning or late afternoon sun as long as the soil stays evenly moist. It seldom needs dividing. To keep the plant looking attractive shear the spent flower heads after flowering.
