About This Hosta
'1st and Ten' is a new giant hosta that forms an impressive mound of blue-green foliage. The huge heart-shaped leaves have deep veins and the tips point out from the clump. The large blue-green leaves are slightly cupped with nice rippled margins. Hosta '1st and Ten' will form a beautiful specimen plant so find a spot where it will be admired. Lavender flowers are produced in mid summer.
Bloomfest Garden Art Show and Sale
Beginning July 21 the work of 15 artists will be installed throughout the three display gardens and the daylily field. The art will remain in place until August 2. During this time the garden is open every day. The gardens are extensive, and it is fun to wander the paths and find the art displayed all over the property. The fifteen artists participating this year include locals as well as some from southern Ontario and Quebec. Garden Art adds the finishing touch to a garden so come and shop for that perfect piece of art. We are excited to be able to host this show again and feature the work of these talented individuals. Admission is free.
The Daylily field is in full bloom and daylilies are available in pots and by bare root divisions.
