About This Daylily
Daylily 'Return a Smile' is similar in color to ‘Always Afternoon’, but more cold hardy. Each lovely blossom is of consistently rounded form and has thicker, more durable petals than its parent. The sunfast, mauve pink flowers have a prominent wine purple eye, yellow-green throat, and ruffled tepals. Three-way branched scapes carry 20 or more buds apiece in early-midseason and then repeat blooms later in the season. The attractive blue-green foliage complements the flowers nicely.
