'Komet' Austrian Pine

Stately, Pinus nigra 'Komet' (Austrian Pine) is an evergreen conifer of narrowly upright and columnar habit. Dark green, medium length needles adorn strictly upward growing branches that seem to be reaching into the sky like a rocket shooting up into the atmosphere. In spring, tan candles emerge adding weeks of interest. The dense needles persist for several years on the tree. It is useful anywhere that needs a vertical accent and a small footprint and will be a stunning feature in any garden.
