Dwarf Eastern White Pine

Dense and compact, 'Horsford' is bun shaped with soft, thin light green needles. Its lovely texture and size make it perfect for use in many landscape situations. Deer resistant and easy to grow. The dense tight form works well along foundations, in dwarf plant gardens or in perennial beds. Very hardy.  After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 28 inches (70 cm) tall and 40 inches (100 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 2 to 3 inches (5 - 7.5 cm).

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Horsford Dwarf is easy to grow in full to partial sun. It prefers average well drained soil that has been amended with organic material. It is a low maintenance evergreen with few problems.It is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions and effective in rock gardens, shrub borders or as a small garden specimen.
