About This Hosta
'Captain Kirk' is a terrific sport of 'Gold Standard' that is thought to be a tetraploid. It features a wide golden center surrounded by a very dark green edge. The contrast is really distinctive making a very dramatic clump at maturity. The lavender flowers are produced in mid summer.
