Echinacea purpurea Virgin

The large fragrant, pure white petals of Echinaces 'Virgin' really stand out against the green cone. The petals are in a double row and are held horizontally giving the bloom a very full look. The plants have a strong upright habit and do not require staking.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Coneflowers are the ideal perennial for hot sunny sites. Plant them in shade and they will flop and produce very few flowers. Loamy, well drained soil is ideal to produce the best bloom and winter hardiness. Heavy soils can lead to winter rot. Leave the seed heads to stand for winter food for finches and other birds.
