Delphinium Blue Lace
Delphinium Blue Lace

Larkspur

Delphinium 'Blue Lace' has densely packed spires of true, sky blue flowers with a touch of lavender pink. The blooms are carried on very strong stems in early summer. Removing spent flower spikes will result in another round of blooms on secondary spikes in late summer and fall. Its large, deeply incised leaves make this plant attractive even when it's not in bloom.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Delphiniums are fussier than a lot of other perennials. They require rich, well drained soil that has been amended with compost. The soil pH should be neutral to alkaline. They grow best in full sun. Although the Millenium series have stronger stems than older varieties, we still recommend staking to prevent damage from heavy wind and rain.
